The iconic Ocean Drive Magazine will set the tone for Miami Swim Week, on Thursday July 11th, with their annual opening night party.
This year the event will take place at the classic Art Deco staple The Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel. The Surfcomber has partnered with Planet Fashion, the fashion media and events company to produce all of their Swim Week events. The collaborative programming effort on opening night will make for an amazing line up of swim wear design talent on the runway.
Agua De Coco, the luxury Brazilian Swim wear line will open the night with a fashion show at 8:30pm. A new brand Diosa Mar, based in Mexico City, from heiress Tatiana Rodriguez Anderson will launch it’s debut collection at 9pm, and the night will close with a 10pm fashion show by the global trend magnet Oh Polly Swimwear. Oh Polly by Claire Henderson is one of the fashion growing swimwear lines in history with record setting sales last year due to their innovative marketing, Instagram presence and influencer relationships. The night will also be live performances by American Idol finalist Michelle Sussett . Among the celebrities in attendance will be supermodel Isabeli Fontana who is the Ocean Drive Magazine July cover girl.

A women’s online fashion brand’s jaw-dropping string bikini – complete with clear straps – is a new addition to the swimwear collection, and it comes with a warning: “Caution, this bikini ain’t for the faint-hearted.”

Instagram sales strategy pays off for online fashion brand Oh Polly
Online fashion retailer, Oh Polly, has reported record revenues of £15.6 million during 2018, while turnover has increased 140% to £21 million. Pre-tax profits are on track to more than double to over £3 million for the 2018/19 financial year.
In 2018, Oh Polly more than doubled its UK employees, with plans to have over 140 staff across its Glasgow and Liverpool offices by the end of this year.
The Scottish e-tailer, known for its bodycon dresses, has used Instagram to rapidly expand its customer reach. During the three years it has been active on the social media platform, Oh Polly has gained 1.9 million followers, with this number increasing on average by 80,000 users per month. This Instagram-focused sales strategy has seen Oh Polly become the fifth most “engaged UK retail social media brand” last year. READ FULL ARTICLE
